Our Blog:
Infants' brain development and children's need to grow happy and healthy.
We know from the results of extensive studies over the past fifteen years that a child’s first years of life are the most critical years for brain development. The experiences children are exposed to create the first and most essential brain connections and will have a crucial impact on their lives.
Babies have many needs: eating, sleeping, getting their diapers changed, etc. What is most important is care and love. They need our affection to know they are loved and welcome into this world. They cannot move and so the only way they can learn about our world is through us: our body, our heartbeat, our smell, our skin, etc. We keep babies close to us as long as they need it, so they feel comfortable and loved.
Children need to interact with real objects. They need opportunities to repeat a skill until they master it. They need opportunities to learn how to solve problems by themselves. They need time to develop their own ideas, creativity, and imagination. But the most important things children need are affection, acceptance, and approval of the people around them. It is a human need to be “accepted and loved.” Without this, self-esteem will be poor and so will their achievements in life.
The best way for children to learn is by playing and experimenting…!!
Children need time with their parents to grow up happily and be healthy.
